Meet the President, Howard E. Warren
After obtaining a B.A. in psychology from the University of Toronto, I received my LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1975. I've been practicing law since being called to the bar in Ontario in 1977, and am a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada. I've been in the continuous practice of civil and family law litigation for over 30 years.
I deal on a daily basis with family law matters such as divorce, custody/access, child & spousal support, division of family property, and all related issues. I also have considerable experience in negotiating and drafting marriage and cohabitation agreements, as well as separation agreements.
The recent trend has been toward alternate dispute resolution. I've appeared as counsel in many mediation/arbitrations. I completed a course at Harvard University in mediation, and then took a course on power imbalances in mediation/arbitration. I served as a Dispute Resolution Officer (D.R.O.) of the Ontario Superior Court for 10 years and I am certified as a specialist in both family law mediation and family law arbitration and an accredited screener for family violence.
I've been married for over 30 years, and am the proud father of four sons.
